Bursting at the seams!

I love it when a plan comes together. For a while now, I have been on a mission. A mission to engage children and transform their learning through the use of technology. Don’t get me wrong, even though I’m about to get excited,

it’s been a hard road, but it’s finally clicked, I mean it’s really clicked. By planning with individual teachers every afternoon ad being available to go into all their lessons, I’m seeing success and enthusiasm (and that’s just the teachers!). Some really exciting technology lessons have emerged from these planning sessions and now believe we may start to see transformation of learning. You see, I’ve pushed all my energy into the teachers because it’s them that will transform learning, not a fancy device. Yes, the device helps but until a teacher is willing to be a risk-taker with it, it remains just a device. In the past week we have had children green screening, using book creator for non- fiction books, using thinglink to access content and collaborating in google docs. I’m excited, because I’ve seen the Awe and Wonder emerge on the children’s faces when topics are introduced. I have a spring in my step, a new found energy, yep, it’s going to be a good year.
