Kim is Head of Integrated Technologies for Infant students at Tanglin Trust School, Singapore. Originally from Sydney Australia, she has been teaching overseas since 2008.
Kim uses her blog to reflect on the current technology practises within ICT and technology and to look at more appropriate approaches to technology integration. Kim aim’s to make meaningful connections for all students and help them become effective collaborators, communicators and creators, with a commitment to social responsibility.
Kim is an Apple distinguished Educator, Google Certified Innovator and has a Master of Education (Information, Communication Technology). She is able to share her knowledge and skills by speaking at regional and international conferences. Kim is passionate about change in the area of technology with focus on pedagogy and curriculum integration support within the early years.
Kim is a co- moderator of the trending twitter ed-chat #asiaED. The goals of #asiaED are to give educators a space to express an unbiased response to questions about education within the Asia region. We call on educators from a range of countries and with a range of expertise and interests to share the moderation process. #asiaED is a slow chat concept where a theme is covered across a week with one question per day. This concept allows for educators to think more deeply about responses and to join in at a time that is appropriate for them.
Kim enjoys making global connections, creating enjoyable and engaging learning experiences for students, educational technology, inspiring and motivating staff, integrating technology and innovation in education. She is available for speaking engagements both in person and via Skype/Google Hangouts.
